The Backyard Writers’ Workshop will return Fall 2023!

This workshop is for everyone—writers and “non-writers” alike.

We meet in my lush Studio City backyard. Each meeting will feature a combination of delicious treats, generative writing exercises, and meaningful discussion of your writing.

I may be an Iowa Writers’ Workshop alum, but my workshops are not the traditional silenced-author workshop—mine are more open and more human. My approach is based off of Liz Lerman’s Critical Response Process.

Have you been writing on your own the past few years but now would like some community? Maybe your outward talent lies in another field but you enjoy writing and want to do some more? Or perhaps the idea of an MFA is kicking around in your mind and you’d like get some application pieces together? Join me!
